You can be the spark for Engineering!
At our Institute of Technology, we're not just teaching Engineering, we're building the next generation of innovators, problem-solver and industry leaders. As demand grows for skilled professionals in both practical and theoretical disciplines, we're looking for a passionate lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to lead the way, especially in delivering high-impact training for EAL apprenticeships.
Your toolbox should include:
1. Manual & CNC Turning and Milling
2. CNC Machine Operation and Programming
3. 3 Printing and Additive Manufacturing
4. Engineering Drawing and CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
5. Maintenance Machining Assemblies
6. PLCs, Wiring and Electrical Circuit Testing
7. Pneumatics and Fluid Power Systems
8. Engineering Mathematics
9. Engineering Project Supervision
Bonus points if you have experience Level 2 and 3 EAL apprentices or vocational learners, understanding apprenticeship standards and work-based learning and can switch seamlessly between workshop demos and classroom lectures.
You will:
10. Deliver engaging, industry-relevant sessions
11. Supervise engineering projects and mentor apprentices
12. Collaborate with employers to enrich learning experiences
13. Promote safety, inclusion and excellence in everything you do
14. Lead programmes and contribute to curriculum development
You will need:
15. A degree in an engineering subject (Masters is desirable but not essential)
16. Strong communication and teamwork skills
17. A passion for teaching and inspiring future engineers
