Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations.
Looking for someone with their own pick up, looking for part time work. Self employed preferable but not essential.
I also have a 7.5 ton lorry if you have a valid licence and CPC
Duties
* Deliver goods to customers' premises within designated timeframes
* Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational standards are met,
Skills
* Valid driver's licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car, van, or lorry)
* Strong knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area
* Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
* Organised with good time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
