Job Summary
As a Civil Enforcement Officer CCTV, you will be helping the community by ensuring parking restrictions are followed and Penalty Charges Notices are issued for parking and moving traffic contraventions, including bus lanes, bus stops and school keep clear restrictions. Using camera footage from both static and car mounted CCTV, you will help keep our streets safer and more accessible for everyone.
Responsibilities
* It will be your responsibility to enforce and advise on the parking restrictions, issuing Penalty Charge Notices as appropriate.
* Using your experience and knowledge, you will identify instances of non-compliance and take appropriate action in line with council policies, regulations and codes of practice, ensuring customers are informed of the outcome and provided with clear, accurate advice.
* You will primarily issue Penalty Charge Notices for moving traffic offences, using both static and car mounted CCTV.
* It will be key for you to report any faults, errors or maintenance requirements with the camera systems, liaising with both internal and external providers.
* It is essential you have experience within a similar role or area of work.
* Ideally, you have knowledge of parking enforcement legislation, however, this is not essential as full training will be provided.
* Due to the nature of this role, you will need to be a good communicator, remain impartial and be able to adapt quickly to situations in a professional manner.
* You will have effective IT and numeracy skills, including the ability to accurately update information systems and databases.
* You will be able to demonstrate knowledge in the use of appropriate software packages.
Qualifications
* You will be expected to travel throughout the authority and surrounding area, so you must have a full, valid driving licence.
* You will have access to South Gloucestershire Council Fleet Vehicle during your operational hours.
