Retail Support Security Officer – Tesco Partnership (Relief Cover)
Location: Tadcaster / York (various Tesco stores)
Pay: £13.47 per hour / Weekly Pay (every Friday)
Hours: 0–48 hours per week (as per rota)
Shifts: Monday–Sunday, 13:00–22:00 / 14:00–22:00
Requirement: Must hold a valid SIA Licence and have own vehicle (no public transport)
About The Role
Kingdom Group, a key partner to Tesco, is expanding its Retail Security team across the Tadcaster and York area. We are looking for confident, professional, and reliable Security Officers to join our relief team.
This is a flexible, multi-site role where you will provide a strong and visible security presence across various Tesco stores, helping to protect customers, colleagues, and store assets while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct regular patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment
* Act as a visible deterrent to theft and anti-social behaviour
* Monitor premises and respond to incidents and emergencies
* Complete accurate reports and record observations
* Monitor CCTV systems (where authorised)
* Support store management and colleagues as required
* Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers where needed
What We’re Looking For
* Valid SIA Licence
* Full 5-year checkable work history
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Professional, confident, and reliable approach
* Good attention to detail and sound judgement
* Calm under pressure
* Previous security experience desirable but not essential
* Own transport is essential due to travel between locations

Additional Information
* You will be required to provide a full five-year checkable employment history
* You will receive a contract of employment from your employer separately
* Pay is provided weekly (every Friday) via HIVE 360 Payroll Services
* This role is initially on a temporary basis and not directly employed by Kingdom Service Group
* There may be the opportunity in the future to transfer onto a permanent Kingdom contract
* This is a relief role, so full flexibility is required across multiple locations and shifts
