Global market leading provider of surveying technology / solutions to geospatial professionals in the civil engineering, construction and land surveying sectors now seeks to recruit an experienced Sales Consultant to join their construction division. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that is renowned for their innovative technology and premium products. They have brought some of the most advanced Laser measurement tools, Laser Scanning, GNSS, Mobile Mapping, UAV’s and AEC Software solutions to the market.
Reporting to the Sales Operations Director this is a newly created 360 sales role where you will be focussed on developing business and selling solutions into the Utilities and Telecoms sector maximising revenue from multiple channels including rental, sales, service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Taking ownership of the Utilities & Telecoms market segment - driving sales both direct and via 3rd party distributors and focused on growing both existing business and engaging with new customers in the utilities and communications market.
* Identifying competition accounts in the market segment, establishing / developing relationships and nurturing them to try and convert them over time.
* Actively promoting new technology adoption within the market.
* This role is also expected to perform a general sales role of all Hexagon technology within the Utilities / Comms market. This role will be responsible for bringing in the relevant product specialists where required to deliver technical consultation, demonstrations, and training.
* Engaging with industry bodies, attending sector relevant trade events, exhibitions and conferences, delivering presentations / talks if required.
* Sales pipeline management and assisting with sales forecasting and sales strategy development working closely with the Sales Operations Director
What we are looking for:
* Ideal candidates will possess proven experience in a similar role selling construction (or other) technologies specifically into the Utilities & Telecoms sector or be working as a Surveyor or Civil Engineer/ Construction Engineer looking to move into a sales role and willing to undertake the relevant cross training.
* Knowledge of a wide range of Geospatial and Construction equipment and the requirements of the users of such equipment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability in interfacing at all levels and the ability to present information effectively to managers and clients / customers.
* Fluent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Experience of using CRM software for pipeline management (e.g. Salesforce.com )
* A willingness to undertake regular domestic business travel to meet with clients - this will sometimes require staying away from home (you will be home based with a nationwide remit).
