This is a high-impact opportunity to join a tight-knit Market Data Support team, working at the intersection of development, infrastructure, and production support for mission-critical trading systems.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a small, collaborative team of engineers who’ve transitioned from development into a hands-on support and automation role. The group oversees the market data systems that power real-time decision-making across asset classes — ensuring performance, stability, and reliability in one of the most demanding trading environments in the world.
This is not a traditional support role. You’ll be deep in the code, scripting, debugging, and automating complex workflows while working closely with development teams to diagnose issues, optimize processes, and drive technical improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide L1–L3 production support for global market data systems, resolving complex technical issues in real time.
* Design and implement automation and monitoring tools to improve system efficiency and reliability.
* Collaborate with developers to trace issues into the codebase and identify sustainable long-term solutions.
* Manage data flows, troubleshoot production pipelines, and maintain service availability across regions.
* Contribute to system enhancements, performance tuning, and process optimization for a wide range of asset classes.
Ideal Profile
* Hands-on experience in market data production support (L1–L3) within a trading or financial environment.
* Strong scripting and automation skills, ideally using Java (Python or similar languages a plus).
* Proven ability to debug and analyze complex distributed systems.
* Solid understanding of financial market data and how electronic trading systems operate.
* Experience with Linux environments, version control (Git), and SQL for data analysis or troubleshooting.
* A proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to remain calm and systematic under pressure.
