You’ll be supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs—helping them overcome barriers, manage behaviour, and re-engage with learning. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential — we’re especially interested in those with transferable skills from roles such as sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, care, or customer service. Your Role: Support pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis, focusing on emotional regulation and positive behaviour Help implement behaviour plans and build strong, trusting relationships De-escalate challenging situations calmly and professionally Work closely with teachers, pastoral leads, and external professionals Promote attendance, engagement, and wellbeing across the school We’re Looking For: Confident communicators who can stay calm under pressure People with transferable skills from education, youth work, care, or customer-facing roles A resilient and patient approach when supporting challenging behaviour A team player who genuinely wants to make a difference A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Why Join Teaching Personnel?
