Business Development Executive
Location: Bourne End
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 basic, plus commission potential up to an additional £60,000
About the Role
A growing business in the technical sales sector is looking to add a Business Development Executive to its commercial team. This person will be responsible for generating new sales opportunities and developing cross-sell activities into an established customer base.
The position is primarily telephone-based (around 90%), but includes occasional face-to-face meetings and attendance at international tradeshows. You'll join a small, collaborative team reporting directly to the Commercial Director, in a company known for a friendly atmosphere and strong employee retention.
Responsibilities
* Identify and target new customer accounts to grow business revenue
* Develop and deliver tailored sales pitches
* Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals
* Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, seeking opportunities to introduce additional products
* Prepare sales quotations in multiple currencies, requiring confident numeracy skills
* Attend trade exhibitions and customer meetings, including occasional overseas travel
* Keep accurate records in CRM systems and produce reports as needed
