I am seeking an Audit Manager to join a central functions audit team within a globally established asset manager. The team plays an important role in assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, governance and regulatory compliance across areas such as Finance, Tax, Procurement, Property Services, Treasury, Compliance, Risk and HR. You will work closely with your line manager and wider colleagues, to deliver the plan gaining broad experience across the whole business, which is global in scale, but this role involves little travel.
This position suits someone who is comfortable working independently while still being part of a collaborative audit team. Although you won’t be expected to lead audits at this level, you will need to demonstrate strong analytical thinking, sound judgement and the ability to ask intelligent, probing questions. The team values auditors who can challenge constructively and explain risk and control concepts clearly, especially when dealing with stakeholders. Exposure to external audit or second-line functions is welcomed, as are data analytics capabilities but the ideal candidate will have at least a couple of years internal audit exposure.
The 2026 plan includes reviews covering areas such as Market Abuse, AML onboarding and transaction monitoring, Tax (with specialist external support), Finance and elements of Risk. You will be involved in planning, fieldwork and reporting, preparing high-quality workpapers and drafting findings to reperformance standards.
The role has scope to develop into a Senior Manager position based on merit, without anyone having to leave. The role has arisen because of an internal move, reflecting the organisation’s support for career development.
