Permanent Role Competitive Salary DOE Shift Patternt to be confirmed at interview I am currently working with a well-established sheet metal manufacturing company based in Leicestershire. Due to growth, they now have a requirement for a Quality Inspector to join their existing team based on the shop floor.The Quality Inspector will be responsible for:
* Conducting inspection of sheet metal fabrications, welded components and complete items, using a variety of manual inspection equipment.
* Completing 1st off and final inspection procedures.
* Creating and follow inspection plans based on engineering drawings.
* Collaborating with other departments to review internal and external non-conformance.
* Generating detailed inspection reports documenting findings and recommendations.
* Identifying potential quality issues and proactively suggest corrective actions.
* Participating in the continuous improvement of quality control processes.
* Communicating effectively with production personnel and engineers regarding inspection results.
The ideal candidate for the Quality Inspector role will have:
* A good knowledge of inspection equipment.
* The ability to read engineering drawings.
* Gained previous experience in a similar role, working in a sheet metal manufacturing company.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or a related field.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience of Root Cause Analysis (ie. Fishbone, 8D, 5Y).
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (or similar software).
* A formal qualification in Quality or be keen to obtain one.
