About the role
As the Service Engineer for Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is tested & repaired in line with Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) as well as other regulations.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Servicing, maintaining, and repairing equipment in service users’ homes and on-site
* Driving a large van and completing all mandatory vehicle checks
* Delivering and collecting disability equipment to service users’ homes, hospitals, and health centres
* Identifying the stock to be on the van and loading equipment accordingly
* Managing multiple service jobs daily, some of which can be heavy
* Providing polite, empathetic, and client-focused service
* Undertaking risk assessments
* Using a weight rig to service and maintain hoists
* Immediately reporting any perceived safeguarding issues
* Using a scanner to complete jobs, adding notes/comments competently
* Adhering to timeslots and liaising with service users if delays occur
* Being on call on a rotational basis with an enhanced allowance during this period

Qualifications and experience required
* Full UK driving licence (minimum of 3 years)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills
* Flexibility with working days/hours to meet business needs and participate in an emergency on-call rota
