Edward Reed Recruitment are seeking a full-time experienced Accountant to join our client’s accounts team. Operating in a PE backed business this is a demanding role, and we are seeking an individual to take responsibility for the management of the day-to-day finances along with implementation of improved reporting and robust systems as the business continues to grow rapidly.
Responsibilities of the role will include (but not exhaustive):
* Prepare management accounts and stat accounts
* Variance analysis
* Departmental Budgets
* Forecasting & Budgeting
* Commercial monitoring and reporting
* Support Financial Controller and FP&A Manager with Board Report information
* Collating monthly Payroll data
* Cash flow forecasting and highlighting any risks or opportunities
* Reviewing and authorising supplier payments and customer refunds
* Manage year end statutory accounts process with the support of external accountants
* Support the annual R&D tax claim process with external accountants/HMRC
* Work alongside Extended Leadership Team to identify and implement profit improvement opportunities
* Develop and produce business KPIs to optimise decision-making

Required Qualification/Experience/Skills
1. Qualified or Part Qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA
2. At least 3 years’ experience of working in a Management Accountant capacity or similar
3. Sage accounts package and Salesforce experience
4. Worked in a service environment background with high volume transactions
