This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Trust Grade Doctor in Emergency Medicine at The James Cook University Hospital (JCUH).
We are offering posts in Emergency Medicine (1 year) and Emergency Medicine with Critical Care (6 months in each).

There is active involvement within the Consultant team across various sub-specialties, including:
* Simulation
* Teaching
* Sports Medicine
* Ultrasound
* Major Trauma
* Paediatrics
* Research
* Quality Assurance
Responsibilities include initial management of emergency cases presenting to the A&E Department, conducting minor procedures when indicated, and supervising patient discharges.
The A&E Department is located in a purpose-built facility since 2003, with a helipad outside, radiology facilities, and an adjacent Acute Assessment Unit. Inpatient beds are situated on the trauma ward above the department. The department handles regional major trauma cases by land and air and covers all facets of emergency medicine across all age groups.
The department features two entrances—one for ambulances and one for ambulatory patients—along with a large four-bay adult resuscitation room, a two-bed paediatric resuscitation area, portable ultrasound, plaster room, and separate zones for stretcher and walking wounded patients. There is a dedicated children’s waiting and assessment area.
