Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery driving and warehouse operations. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate 3.5T vehicles. Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Duties
* Collect from and deliver to 15-20 shops per day on a designated route
* Operate commercial vehicles, for the safe and timely delivery of goods.
* Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and storage in compliance with safety regulations.
* Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical reliability and safety before each journey.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and stock replenishment.
Skills
* Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's licence suitable for driving.
* Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable.
* Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
* Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
