Role Overview
We Are Care is seeking caring and reliable Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join a dedicated team supporting elderly individuals with dementia in a specialist nursing and dementia care setting.
This opportunity involves working within a well-established residential environment where empathy, consistency, and attentiveness are key. You'll be supporting with a mix of personal care, mobility, mealtime assistance, and companionship.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to residents' needs
* Assist with personal hygiene, continence care, and dressing
* Support during mealtimes including feeding assistance
* Monitor and record observations accurately
* Promote dignity, respect, and emotional reassurance
* Engage residents in light activities or therapeutic routines
* Escalate safeguarding or medical concerns as required
What We're Looking For
* At least 6 months' experience in a care or support setting
* Confidence in supporting individuals with dementia and elderly care needs
* Mandatory care training completed within the last 12 months
* Enhanced DBS check (on update service preferred)
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Compassionate, patient, and committed to care excellence
* Must have the right to work in the UK – sponsorship is not available
