Job Title: Commercial Insurance New Business Executive
Salary: Up to £65K + fee-earning commission

My client is a well-respected, family run, independent, chartered insurance broker based in the Gloucester region, with roots going back decades. They serve a wide portfolio of clients including businesses, landlords, charities and specialist sectors across the UK.
They are now expanding their commercial lines team and seeking a New Business Commercial Insurance Executive to help drive growth in their core specialisms (commercial, property, trade, liability). You’ll step into a role where your wins directly matter, you’ll join a skilled and committed team, with opportunity to work across the company’s rich product set and deepen presence in new or under-penetrated markets.

What You’ll Be Doing
Identifying, prospecting and converting new commercial business across sectors like manufacturing, trades, property, SMEs and more
Building and managing your own pipeline, with a focus on high-quality, sustainable clients
Conducting risk assessments, fact-finds, and designing bespoke insurance programmes
Preparing and submitting market presentations, quotes, and negotiations with underwriters
Collaborating with the internal servicing and claims teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and retention
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on underwriting trends, product innovations, compliance and regulation
Acting as an ambassador in your territory attending local events, engaging with community business networks
Consistently hitting or exceeding assigned targets, while working in a supportive, growth-oriented environment
What You’ll Need
Proven experience in commercial insurance sales, broking or account management
A strong record of working to sales targets / income goals
Excellent communication, networking and negotiating skills
Autonomy able to self-manage your day, pipeline and client interactions
A personable, professional presence someone who clients enjoy working with
Desirable: CII qualification (or working toward it)
Familiarity with broking systems (Acturis or similar) is advantageous
