Job Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistants at South Staffordshire School

We are working with a forward-thinking Secondary Special School located on the Wolverhampton/South Staffordshire border, who are seeking dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their vibrant team.
Roles Available:
1. Temporary Positions: Ideal for those seeking short-term opportunities with flexibility to work part-time or full time.
2. Permanent Positions: For thosemitted to long-term full-time roles.
3. Location: Situated near Perton in South Staffordshire, the school provides a supportive and inclusive environment for students with SEN.
4. School: A secondary special school supporting students with SEND who have an EHCP.
5. Pay: £80 - £100 per day
Key Responsibilities:
6. Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning experiences to students with diverse SEND needs. (SEMH, ASC, SLD, MLD, ADHD)
7. Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment.
8. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student progress.
9. Contribute to the development and execution of individualised education plans for each student.
10. Support the class teacher in the delivery of the curriculum and work with students in groups or on a 1:1 as required.
Requirements:
11. Prior experience working with students with SEND is essential.
12. Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
13. Be nurturing and caring in your approach
14. Amitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
15. Experience in non-verbalmunication. Eg. Makaton, PECS is desirable but not essential
