Responsibilities
* Work in a multi-disciplinary team covering a varied patient caseload.
* Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities.
* Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team.
* Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting.
* Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based.
* Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development.
* Support the Clinical leads and Theatre Manager in the efficient running of the department.
* Co-ordinate the theatre department.
* Be instrumental to the patient experience, ensuring seamless, personalised care in the recovery room with a focus on safety and efficiency.
* Work well with consultants who are experts in their field.
* Have experience in line management of a busy and efficient recovery room, including ensuring professional development plans for a team.
* Be involved in the creation of projects and initiatives for the improvement and efficiency of the Recovery room, and supporting the vision and safety of the overall department.
* Conduct audits and investigations and have experience in this.
* Promote effective clinical risk management within the department – undertaking risk assessments and investigations, developing mitigation and escalation plans and contributing towards the maintenance of the departmental risk register.
Qualifications
* As a Clinical Lead at our Cambridge Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you have the relevant qualifications and experience.
* With excellent leadership skills, you hold post-registration experience in care of patients, in everything from Cardiac to Colorectal, Orthopaedic, ENT, Gynae and Urology.
