Senior Account Manager

The Role
* Report directly to the Client Services Manager.
* Manage workflows for a small team, ensuring timely, accurate, and budget-friendly delivery of work in alignment with client commitments.
* Oversee the management, development, and coaching of junior staff.
* Maintain a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service and expert guidance.
* Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Handle corporation and personal tax returns.
* Conduct initial file reviews for technical accuracy before managerial and director-level assessment.
* Perform analytical reviews of clients’ financial data and lead review meetings to aid their understanding.
* Promote the firm's services and identify value-added opportunities for clients.
* Manage personal daily workloads efficiently.
The Requirements
* At least four years of experience in an accountancy practice.
* Qualified AAT, ACA, ACCA, or part-qualified ACA/ACCA (or qualified by experience).
* Strong technical knowledge of current Financial Reporting Standards.
* Proven track record of delivering excellent service to clients.
* Ability to work independently without supervision.
* Capacity to meet strict deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong proficiency in accounting/tax systems; experience with Xero is an advantage.
* High-level competency in Excel and IT applications.
