The Microsoft 365 (M365) Solutions Architect will play a key role in leading the design, development, and delivery of Microsoft 365 (M365) solutions that align with the strategic goals and technical needs of the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Power Platform, and security/compliance tools. The Solutions Architect will collaborate with stakeholders, assess requirements, develop architectural strategies, and ensure successful implementation of scalable, portable solutions. Acting as a technical advisor, they will provide guidance, best practices, and hands-on expertise.
The role involves leading migrations, modernization efforts, and cloud-first initiatives to enhance collaboration, productivity, and security within the enterprise environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Solution Architecture and Design:
* Lead architecture, design, and implementation of M365 solutions across business units.
* Develop enterprise-wide M365 strategies to improve productivity, collaboration, and security.
* Create architecture documentation, technical roadmaps, and diagrams.
* Align solutions with Microsoft’s best practices, compliance, and governance policies.
* Architect hybrid environments and develop migration strategies from legacy systems.
1. Technical Leadership and Innovation:
* Provide guidance on Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Power Platform, and related services.
* Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies for innovation opportunities.
* Lead technical workshops, POCs, and pilot projects.
* Act as escalation point for complex M365 issues.
* Manage a portfolio of M365 solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration and Business Alignment:
* Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
* Engage leadership to align M365 initiatives with business goals.
* Collaborate with project managers and analysts to deliver within scope, budget, and timeline.
* Promote user experience, change management, and adoption strategies.
3. Governance, Security, and Compliance:
* Develop governance frameworks for M365 services.
* Implement security best practices such as DLP, conditional access, and MFA.
* Ensure solutions meet compliance standards like PII, HIPAA, FedRAMP as required.
4. Training and Documentation:
* Train and mentor IT staff, administrators, and users on M365 capabilities.
* Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and guides.
* Develop end-user enablement plans to promote adoption.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Must be a U.S. citizen.
* Minimum 8 years of IT experience, with at least 5 in M365 architecture, design, and implementation.
* Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification.
* Deep knowledge of M365 services including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Power Platform.
* Expertise in Azure AD, hybrid architectures, and tenant migrations.
* Strong understanding of security and compliance solutions such as Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, and DLP.
* Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate effectively.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience leading teams and mentoring.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
* Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience with complex M365 migrations (e.g., Lotus Notes to Exchange Online).
* Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (ITIL) and DevOps practices.
* Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government.
