Job Description: Agriculture Relationship Manager – Northampton

From expanding overseas to managing cash and trade flows of established enterprises, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides end-to-end solutions designed to help small businesses reach their potential.
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to join this team as an Agriculture Relationship Manager.
The Agriculture Relationship Manager will provide dedicated customer service to a portfolio of Agriculture clients, with responsibilities for sales, service, risk, and operational delivery. The role involves interactions with both external clients and internal teams, including Sales, Product Development, Risk, and Compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting face-to-face meetings with Agriculture clients, managing a portfolio of up to 80 clients
* Providing outstanding customer service
* Driving revenue growth by understanding customer needs and adopting a needs-based approach to increase new business
* Growing the business sustainably by identifying opportunities to expand the portfolio and leveraging HSBC's extensive network
* Understanding the customer's business and industry to promote insights and deliver fair outcomes
* Proactive credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews
* Managing financial crime risk by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring, and mitigating risks in compliance with HSBC’s standards and policies
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
* A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and making a difference
* Experience in Commercial Banking or similar sectors
* Agricultural or Relationship Management experience (advantageous)
* Knowledge of commercial credit and lending
* Ability to build effective networks and develop trusted relationships
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* An understanding of risk management and compliance with HSBC’s policies and regulatory requirements
This is a hybrid role based in Northampton, covering Northamptonshire, Peterborough, East, and South Midlands regions.
