Role of Village Porters
Village Porters at St Monica Trust play a vital role in ensuring safety, responding to incidents, and supporting daily operations. They are often the first point of contact, greeting residents, staff, and visitors, and are familiar with our services and facilities. Residents and staff alike recognize their helpfulness and knowledge.
What we're looking for
* Ability to handle visitors and respond to incidents, alarms, and patrols
* Basic knowledge of health & safety/fire procedures
* Basic computer skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Personable, alert, and proactive attitude
* Understanding of older people's needs
Compensation and Shifts
£12.87 per hour, with an additional £1 for weekend and night shifts. Shifts are 12 hours, from 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am.
Role Responsibilities
As a Porter/Concierge, you will ensure building and grounds security, maintain a safe environment, support service continuity, and respond to emergencies and incidents.
Training and Development
We provide support and training to help you succeed and take on additional responsibilities.
