We are looking for an Assembly Operative to start work on a temp to permanent basis in Hindley, Wigan. The role is initially training in Manchester for the first few weeks, so you will require transportation to get to site.
Ideally you will have experience of assembling components or working in a production environment.
The role is working Monday to Friday days, with a lunch time finish on Friday.
Rate is PAYE per hour plus holiday pay, pension etc.
1. Responsibilities
2. To perform various semi-skilled assembly activities on both a production line and a bench environment
3. Completing a wide variety of semi-skilled operations within the allocated budgeted times
4. Meeting all agreed quality standards
5. To operate all appropriate equipment iaw current health and safety standards.
6. Update Gemba production recording efficiently and accurately as required.
7. Operate in a manner that is always safe for oneself and one’s colleagues
8. Complete allocated tasks within the allotted times
9. Completed allocated tasks to the agreed quality standards
Requirments:
10. Experience of working in a demanding electrical engineering shop floor environment desirable
11. Able to read engineering drawings/procedures and use basic measuring equipment desirable
12. Able to use and understand torque tools
13. Able to operate and understand air tools
14. To comply with Health & Safety at all times
15. Being able to work on own or as part of a team
16. To be able to read, understand and then work to a written procedure
17. Able to demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, committed and flexible attitude towards customers and other team members, recognizing the importance and benefits of effective team working.
