Area Cleaning Manager
Norfolk
Mon – Sat between 04.30 – 21.00 (40 hours per week) therefore you must be prepared to work at any time during these hours if necessary. Working remotely within the Norfork area.
Pay rate: £14.19 per hour
Company Overview:
The Company provides regular and one-off cleaning services to businesses in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
Role Overview:
The job holder will manage the company’s cleaning operations, ensuring contractual commitments to all our customers are met, that quality standards are achieved, and operation is run efficiently; this to be achieved through a structure of supervisors, mobile and site-based cleaning operatives.
Responsibilities:
* Develops skills and competence of all staff by developing in-house training and utilising external training organisations, encourages staff take up of NVQ programs.
* Ensures an adequate number of full time and part time staff are in place for all contracts and mobile resources for absence cover and periodic and one-off work, initiating recruitment actions as required.
* Motivates staff and promotes company values, attitudes and ethics throughout team.
* Monitors staff performance by carrying out quality spot checks while work is in progress and by reviewing and auditing quality checks.
* Ensure staff comply with company procedures and Health & Safety policy.
* Applies company Disciplinary and Performance Improvement procedures where necessary.
* Approves payroll input records.
* Approves work rotas for mobile staff.
Job Requirements:
* MS Word and Excel to layout clear documents and prepare financial and statistical information.
* Must be able to write neatly and legibly and have a good standard of spelling and grammar. Can produce clear letters and messages for either customers or staff and maintain accurate records.
* It is essential that the jobholder can portray a professional image through their dress, appearance, manner and ability to communicate, as the job will involve considerable customer contact.
* Applicants will need to demonstrate an ability to be able plan ahead for both themselves and their staff and maintain a personal diary.
* They must be able to accurately and legibly complete essential company paperwork.
