Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Ecommerce UX & Delivery team within one of the most exciting retail businesses in the UK. Reporting to the Head of UX and Digital Delivery, you will be responsible for delivering our digital roadmap projects and providing technical support for Web and App requests. You will collaborate with a well-established UX and Front-End Development team experienced in a fast-paced agile environment, including UX researchers, designers, developers, data analysts, UX executives, and project managers.
Responsibilities
* Execute our technical roadmap developments, advanced experiments, and experiences using HTML5, SCSS, Tailwind, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and RESTful APIs.
* Support large-scale developments, continuous improvements, and daily updates in collaboration with our development team.
* Build reusable components and libraries, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
* Work closely with the UX team to deliver technical requirements for web projects, experimentation, and personalization.
* Utilize design systems like Figma to ensure consistent and user-friendly UI/UX.
* Develop key landing and campaign pages.
* Maintain and innovate our headless responsive modules.
* Develop, build, and improve content modules using our New CMS.
* Collaborate with our Technical Analyst on tracking optimizations.
* Coordinate with digital platform and hosting providers to resolve technical tickets.
* Provide technical support for Web & App requests across teams.
* Conduct extensive QA on technical projects before release.
* Liaise with IT & infrastructure teams for joint projects.
* Participate in code reviews to ensure high quality, security, scalability, and performance.
* Research best practices and recommend improvements and innovations.
* Mentor Junior Front-End Developers, if applicable.
You’ll also bring:
* At least 3 years of professional experience in large-scale front-end development within an agile environment.
* Proficiency in React.js & TypeScript, with a focus on modular, maintainable, and well-typed code.
* Familiarity with Node.js, especially for server-side rendering and backend communication.
* Experience integrating RESTful APIs into frontend projects.
* Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and personalization tools like Monetate.
* Proven experience with version control workflows and CI/CD platforms such as Buddy.works.
* Strong skills in responsive, cross-browser UI development and performance optimization.
* Excellent ecommerce knowledge, including web standards, accessibility, SEO, and best practices.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve technical issues.
* Commitment to high code quality and adherence to coding standards.
* Ability to communicate ideas effectively and react quickly to data insights.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
