The role
Architect Location: Sussex Salary: £34-40,000
An award-winning architectural practice based in East Sussex is seeking a creative and experienced Architect to join its growing team in Sussex. Specialising in the design of sports and leisure facilities across the UK, the practice is recognised for delivering inspiring projects that encourage participation and make a lasting impact within the communities they serve. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects valued up to £50 million, collaborating with a dynamic and talented team. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong design capability, sound technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills, with experience across all RIBA work stages.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of sports and leisure projects across the UK.
Manage projects through all RIBA work stages, ensuring successful outcomes.
Produce high-quality design, technical and construction documentation.
Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
Manage project programmes, deliverables and key deadlines.
Present design proposals and communicate project progress to clients and teams.
Collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver innovative and inspiring architectural solutions.
Key Requirements
ARB Registered Architect with experience across all RIBA work stages.
Good knowledge of current UK Building Regulations and technical standards.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with Lumion knowledge advantageous.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Excellent creativity, design flair and problem-solving ability.
Experience managing project deliverables and programme timelines.
Positive, proactive and professional approach, with a full UK driving licence desirable.
