The Opportunity: A vibrant and welcoming primary school in Oxford is looking for a dedicated and passionate Year 3 Teacher to join their team in September 2025. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, teach, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 3 National Curriculum, focusing on the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils. * Use various assessment methods to track pupil progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to pupils and parents. * Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independent thinking, collaboration, and a love for learning. * Work closely with other teachers, support staff, and school leaders to ensure high standards across the curriculum and consistency in teaching practices. * Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and well-being. * Participate in the wider life of the school, including school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities. Person Specification: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. * Strong knowledge of the Year 3 curriculum, with experience in teaching students at Key Stage 2. * Ability to assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs. * Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a focused, positive, and inclusive learning environment. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. * A commitment to professional development, self-reflection, and contributing positively to the school’s ethos.
