Our client, a reputable organisation dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, is hiring for a Deputy Manager at their new 3-bedroom Children's Assessment Home. This Deputy Manager role offers a meaningful opportunity to support children through structured assessments, helping to promote positive outcomes.
As a Deputy Manager you'll be:
* Providing high-quality, person-centred support to children facing various challenges
* Supporting children during assessment placements and observing interactions
* Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and emotional support of children
* Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to deliver consistent care
* Leading shifts and supervising residential staff to maintain high standards of care
* Following policies, procedures, and placement plans in line with Ofsted regulations
* Producing detailed, evidence-based reports and maintaining a safe, structured environment
* Supporting safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
As a Deputy Manager you'll bring:
* NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care or equivalent
* Experience working within residential childcare and with young people
* A manual UK driving licence
* Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills
* Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
* Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care
* Experience supporting children with complex needs and challenging behaviours
* Enthusiastic, energetic, and a team-oriented approach
