The Role As a teacher within our SEMH setting, you will play a key role in supporting students with a variety of behavioural, emotional, and social challenges. This is a demanding yet highly rewarding position that involves: Developing strong, trusting relationships with students, many of whom may have experienced trauma or faced difficulties in mainstream education Delivering creative, differentiated lessons that support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, mental health professionals, and external agencies, to provide personalised support Using effective strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment What We Are Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification Experience working with students with SEMH needs or within a similar setting A resilient, positive mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure A strong understanding of how trauma and adverse childhood experiences impact behaviour and learning Excellent communication and teamwork skills, along with a genuine passion for supporting students’ academic and personal development Why Join Protocol Education?
