Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure efficient cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
* Conduct regular inspections to uphold cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards across all areas
* Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
* Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain smooth operations
* Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels while accommodating peak times and special events
* Address guest requests or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience and resolving issues effectively
* Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for staff and guests
Skills
* Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial settings
* Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, including carpet cleaning, polishing, and maintenance of various flooring types
* Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable to understand guest service standards
* Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
* Familiarity with housekeeping management systems or scheduling software is a plus
* Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff and interact professionally with guests
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and prolonged standing
