Ambrose Avenue Group Practice in Colchester are currently seeking a practice manager to lead our successful established team. We are looking for someone to lead and manage our practice, helping us to meet our objectives, whilst maintaining our strong values of providing a responsive, safe, and high-quality service for our patients in a supportive and efficient environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the partners and finance manager and operation manager, supported by fantastic administrative and clinical teams, to ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice, fulfilling all necessary management duties as agreed with the partnership. Responsibilities will include; Provide organisational leadership to our team alongside the management team to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality, sustainable services. Achieve key targets in all clinical and administrative areas of the practice. Manage, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of practice functionality. Motivate and manage staff, optimising efficiency and performance, and ensuring that the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment. Implement innovative working methods, you will lead the team in promoting continuous improvement, maintaining confidentiality, fostering collaboration, ensuring service delivery, and facilitating learning and development, all while ensuring compliance with CQC regulations. All applicants should have the following skills and attributes: A high level of personal organisation is essential, along with a systematic approach to problem-solving and planning. Strong human resource skills, operations, and quality improvement. Prior experience of leadership and personnel management, ideally within a healthcare setting. Ability to deliver a vision, with a willingness and the drive to adapt to NHS targets and business planning, whilst keeping abreast of legislative and contractual changes. Self-motivated, with a forward-thinking, solution-focused approach. The ability to develop, implement and embed policies, procedures and guidelines. Experience of working in an ever-evolving environment, with an ability to cope with regular change. Excellent organisational, management and planning skills, IT skills and communication skills. Ability to implement and manage change effectively. Ability to identify training and development needs in self and other as well as experience of appraising staff. About Us Ambrose Avenue Group Practice is a friendly, long-established, award-winning, progressive GP practice. We are based over two surgery sites within 10 minutes of each other, serving the population of Stanway and Prettygate in Colchester, Essex. We are a training practice and offer services to a population of over 14,500 patients. The clinical team consists of eight GPs, GP trainee, four advanced nurse practitioners, three nurses, two healthcare assistants, and various allied health professionals, including GP assistant, health and wellbeing coach, clinical pharmacist, pharmacy technicians, care coordinator, social prescriber and care advisor. We hold monthly meetings and training sessions and have a diverse team of clinicians, including first contact physio, pharmacists, ANP/NP, care coordinator, social prescriber, health coach, GP assistant and an award-winning team of mental health workers.
