Are you a highly motivated and experienced housing professional with a passion for making a difference? Adur & Worthing Councils seek a Homelessness Intervention and Prevention Officer to join our Housing Needs team.
This role involves supporting households at risk of or experiencing homelessness, working with partners to find solutions, and preventing homelessness by helping individuals and families secure sustainable accommodation.
We provide tailored training to develop your skills, whether you're new or experienced.
About the role:
You will manage a caseload of homelessness cases, conduct assessments, develop housing plans, and make decisions under housing legislation. You will offer legal and housing advice, support households in temporary accommodation, and keep accurate records. Knowledge of housing law, welfare benefits, and prevention best practices is essential.
