Key Account Manager (covering the Preston/Lancaster/Blackburn area)
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, which involves a combination of working field‑based, visiting customer sites/our offices, and also remotely.
What you will be doing
Spending a part of your time 'on the road', you will be the key point of contact for our customers covering the Preston/Lancaster/Blackburn region. These companies are incredibly varied, coming from a range of different industries and backgrounds. You will be working closely with these customers, looking to identify their challenges with a view to providing them with top‑in‑class solutions and taking your portfolio to the next level. You will also work to:
* Identify and target revenue potential within your portfolio.
* Produce robust business plans that exceed sales and profit targets.
* Build a detailed understanding of the customers, markets, and competitors.
* Maintain and upkeep accurate customer records.
* Build coalitions across the business to support the delivery of sales targets, including with internal account managers.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience in a field‑based sales role with account‑management responsibilities and exposure to working to KPIs and targets.
* You are open‑minded, possessing the ability and willingness to embrace change.
* Someone who takes a solution‑led approach to their work.
* You possess a proven ability in strategic thinking and planning.
* You are an excellent relationship builder.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Any Salesforce CRM or B2B experience would be a bonus.
* A driving licence is essential.
