Overview of Role
The Performance Lead is responsible for ensuring the planning, monitoring and cost
control of a specified project, work portfolio or programme is carried out professionally and in compliance with all project requirements. This is a hybrid working role with a minimum of 3 day in the Heathrow office.
General Responsibilities
You are responsible to your manager, as stated above, for the execution of your individual job responsibilities. You shall:
support your manager and the staff under your control.
maintain a good working relationship with Client and associated personnel.
manage and control your section of the work according to agreed programmes and
be conversant with all drawings, specifications, and related information for these works.
To cover your absence from site during holiday periods, you are to handover your duties to a delegate or colleague as agreed with your manager.

Your main Duties & Responsibilities are as follows:
1. Lead a Project Control Team consisting of Project Control, Planning, and lease with Cost Engineers to ensure consistency, coherence, and adherence to planning and control standards across the portfolio.
2. Responsible for the establishment and operation of project controls in accordance with the contract requirements.
3. Oversee the production and control of baselined, fully logic linked, cost and resource loaded plans,
with appropriate milestones, for all work within the project utilising approved work breakdown
structures and techniques.
1. Support the estimating process to ensure a control estimate is in place for cost monitoring purposes.
2. Ensure appropriate levels of project monitoring and control techniques are applied to the project
appropriate to the scale and scope of the work to enable the work to be managed effectively and
efficiently.
1. Carry out review/analysis of project controls monthly to facilitate the determination of physical percentage complete and updating of plans, to an agreed timeframe, with the percentage
complete values.
1. Supporting Commercial Performance Manager in the production of monthly reports, to an agreed reporting cycle, through the provision of intelligent information and analysis.
2. Analysis of trends within the project and provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
3. Proactively contribute to the ongoing development of Project Control processes and tools to meet the ongoing requirements of the project.
4. Highlight shortfalls in Project Controls during normal operation and put in place action plans to remedy areas requiring attention.
5. Lead monthly project performance review/monthly meeting chairing the forum and collating feedback from the reviews to inform improvements to project performance.
Additional Commercial Duties
These are duties that are in support of the successful commercial management of the project. They will be delivered working collaboratively with the Commercial Performance Manager.
* Management of Change, recommendation for change of the project schedule to the commercial and performance manager.
* Management of Change, Sub-contractors, recommendation for change of the contractors schedules to the Scheme project Managers.
* Performance Management of Sub-contractors, attends performance review meetings, recommends approval of performance improvement plans.
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Regulatory Requirements and Further Requirements for the Job

Qualifications and/ or professional memberships
Minimum of HNC/HND ideally in an Commercial/Engineering discipline or relevant experience
Skills
High level of analytical and numerate skills and well versed in the preparation of reports and information using packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint & power BI.
Proficient in the use of scheduling, programming and risk tools.
Understanding of estimating and cost tools.
Proficient in the application of Earned Value concepts and tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled to an ability to communicate well at all levels of management.
Experience
Breadth of experience across whole project lifecycle (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation/Commissioning processes)
Working Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
Have a detailed understanding of planning methodologies and techniques and a good working knowledge of Primavera Planning Software Tool.
Relevant experience within a Multi Discipline, Engineering Project Management or Project Control environment with proven leadership experience.
Experience of working on Airports delivering EPC projects is desirable
