This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative Aerospace systems, working across design, testing, qualification, and manufacturing.\nYou’ll play a key role in coordinating technical performance, cost control, and scheduling for new product development—collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing future designs.\n \nMechanical Engineer \nPermanent\nCompetitive Salary on Offer + Bonus\nMonday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm (Flexible Working Hours Available) \nCoventry\n \nMechanical Engineer \nJob Description \n\nLead or support product development projects from requirements capture to entry into service.\nPerform and review engineering calculations and simulations to validate design.\nOversee creation and approval of technical documentation in line with internal, customer, and government standards.\nCoordinate cross-functional engineering teams including stress, thermal, vibration, and reliability experts.\nSupport cost tracking, risk analysis, and design reviews to ensure project targets are met.\nCollaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure designs meet manufacturing and cost goals.\nAssist in the development and review of qualification test documents and test setups.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in corrective action activities.\n Mechanical Engineer \nEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications \n\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering\n5+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within aerospace\nExperience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), GD&T, and standard manufacturing processes\nSolid background in project management, including cost and schedule tracking\nFamiliarity with DFMEA, risk analysis, and engineering change management\nStrong communicator—confident presenting to customers and leading technical discussions\nAerospace or Aircraft Systems knowledge preferred\n Mechanical Engineer \nCompany Benefits \n\nBonus\n10% Pension\n If you feel you’re a good fit for this position, please click ‘apply’ or email me at (url removed)
