Location: Solihull Start Date: Immediate Contract: Full-time, Temporary About the Role: We are seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team immediately. This role involves supporting learners with complex special educational needs, including those with Down's syndrome, and ensuring they can access and engage with the curriculum effectively. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with complex SEN needs. Work closely with teachers to adapt and differentiate curricula to meet individual learning requirements. Assist with implementing personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies. Promote inclusion and create a positive, supportive classroom environment. Monitor and report on student progress, liaising with staff and parents as required. Essential Skills & Experience: Previous experience supporting learners with complex SEN, ideally including Down's syndrome. Strong understanding of curriculum adaptation and differentiated learning strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students. Desirable: Experience working within a mainstream or special school setting. Knowledge of safeguarding and SEND frameworks.
