Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Worcester, with a balance of home and office working
Salary: £50,378 - £53,029 per year
Hours: 35 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Engineer with experience in analyzing security systems to join our Cyber Security team, which consists of 6 members and is part of the larger Technology Security team at our head office in Worcester.
As part of the Cyber Security team, you will safeguard corporate data and infrastructure from threats by collaborating across the Cyber organization.
Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Engineer include:
1. Offering technical expertise and analysis on security systems and architectures.
2. Providing guidance on network, application, cloud, and enterprise security controls and administering various security tools.
3. Ensuring technology systems are secure and robust, including monitoring and responding to security events.
4. Investigating root causes and staying updated on current trends and technologies.
Skills and Experience required:
* Proven experience supporting and developing cybersecurity in a large organization.
* Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCSP.
* Knowledge of SC-900, SC-200, MS-100 certifications.
* Significant experience with the Microsoft Security stack.
* Experience with email and web hygiene technologies.
* Experience investigating and managing security incidents, including SIEM.
* Experience supporting medium to large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Experience managing incidents and problem resolution.
* Understanding of cyber threat hunting, attack vectors, techniques, mitigation, and detection.
* Previous experience managing people.
* Excellent organizational, project management, and planning skills.
