About the Role
As a PE Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering engaging physical education sessions and supporting students in developing confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
* Assist in planning and delivering PE lessons across a range of sports and activities.
* Encourage student participation and help foster a positive attitude towards physical fitness.
* Support students with varying abilities, ensuring inclusive and safe learning environments.
* Work collaboratively with PE teachers and school staff to promote whole-school wellbeing initiatives.
* Monitor student progress and contribute to feedback and development plans.
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children or young people in a sports or educational setting is essential.
* A proactive, energetic, and supportive approach to mentoring.
* A genuine passion for physical education and youth development.
* Relevant qualifications or training in sports coaching, physical education, or youth work are advantageous.
To work with GSL Education as a PE Teaching Assistant, you should:
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
