Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Fresh Meals Catering Supervisor to join our team in the heart of our operations. You would be required to undertake the day-to-day management of the kitchen and provide all fresh meals for delivery as well as the meals/light lunches for social and activity groups. You will support the head chef with all kitchen functions as required.
Salary: £13.58 per hour
Hours of work: Rota accross a 7-day week
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the head chef to:
* To manage and be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Kitchen including meal preparations, cooking and delivery.
* To lead, manage and supervise the kitchen and meal delivery teams.
* Lead on the management of team performance, quality reviews and related actions including probation reviews, return to work interviews in line with organisational policy.
* Support the in the recruitment of new team members.
* Develop appetising, seasonal, locally sourced, and varied menus.
* To take a lead in ensuring that the service is delivered to a high standard, overseeing and reporting back on any monitoring, and dealing with complaints and issues.
* To promote the service and service growth including increasing the number of new clients taking up the service and maintaining a good level of client retention.
* To manage the financial and administrative resources of the kitchen within the agreed budgetary limits set by the head of services.
* To be responsible for all food and packaging, orders and deliveries always sourcing best price available.
* To be responsible for stock rotation and reduction of frozen foods.
* Work with marketing to support the promotion of fresh meals service, uplift services being delivered by the fresh meal team and engage with the local community.
* Ensure that policies, processes, and systems are maintained to improve service delivery, ensure contract compliance, quality and optimum efficiency is being achieved for the organisation.
* Contribute towards the preparation of tenders, funding and service development bids that relate to the kitchen.

Qualifications and experience :
* Food Hygiene level 3
* Previous experience working in a kitchen
* Food allergens and labelling experience
* Kowledge and understanding of food hygiene regulations.
* Management Experience
* Able to relate well to people from a wide range of backgrounds
* Good listening and communication skills
* Exceptional organisational skills
* Creative in planning new menus
