This office-based role, with occasional site visits, is ideal for a technically strong and organised individual who can lead project delivery from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Electrical Project Manager Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple Solar PV projects from planning and procurement through to commissioning and client handover
*
Oversee electrical design coordination, project scheduling, and contractor management
*
Work closely with in-house engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery
*
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to technical specifications
*
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality assurance
*
Lead project meetings and provide regular reporting to senior management and clients
*
Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, CDM requirements, and renewable energy standards
*
Manage procurement of materials and liaise with DNOs, grid operators, and specialist suppliers
*
Support commissioning processes and oversee final documentation, including O&M manuals and handover packs
Electrical Project Manager Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager on solar PV or related renewable energy projects
*
Strong electrical background – ideally time-served or qualified electrician/engineer
*
Excellent understanding of AC/DC systems, inverters, mounting systems, and electrical installation standards
*
Strong project management, budgeting, and scheduling skills
*
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively
*
Full UK driving licence – occasional site visits required
*
Strong IT and reporting skills – MS Project, Excel, etc.
Desirable:
*
Electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, City & Guilds, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering)
*
SMSTS or SSSTS
*
Experience with battery storage or EV infrastructure
*
Knowledge of DNO/G99 processes
*
Experience working with frameworks or large-scale clients
