The Oakdale Group provides a wide range of specialist assessments, including for autism, ADHD, and developmental trauma. Oakdale also provides a wide range of psychological therapies for children, young people, and adults. Oakdale has also recently launched its ADHD Medication Service which is available for those clients with a diagnosis of ADHD. Many of our services are commissioned by the NHS, Local Authorities, and schools, and include services for NHS staff. Others are accessed by members of the public who pay for them privately, through medical insurance, or through our charitable arm. The Purpose: The purpose of this role is to support the Neurodevelopmental Service to deliver and complete quality assessments efficiently. To work alongside our Assistant Psychologists who act as case coordinators to ensure assessments are progressed and completed in a timely way. The role will also include supporting both the assessment and medication services in the triage and effective allocation of cases, through information gathering and analysis of referral information, including the identification of risk and complexity. This role also provides early opportunities for psychology graduates wishing to pursue careers in the field of Psychology. The role: The main responsibilities of this position include: ● To assist in the preparation of clinical reports under supervision from Oakdale’s Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team, including mentorship with a Higher Assistant Psychologist ● Use analytical skills to effectively and accurately summarise assessment and triage information from a variety of sources and extrapolate clinically relevant information ● To work through the information received to identify those cases that can be routinely allocated and those that are more complex and require additional clinical consideration prior to allocation. ● To review diagnostic reports to ensure that they meet the minimum standards of assessment to be accepted into the Medication Service ● Managing own time effectively to ensure timely triage, allocation and throughput of cases ● Maintain accurate case records on Oakdale’s case management system, and to ensure that cases are tracked and monitored to ensure an efficient allocations process ● To be responsible for own workload under the direct support of a Higher Assistant Psychologist and/or Senior Triage Worker About you: Essential: ● Degree or equivalent experience ● Excellent written, verbal and report writing skills alongside a methodical and analytical approach with excellent accuracy and attention to detail ● The ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise workload working to tight deadlines ● Able to demonstrate commitment to high-quality care and service provision ● Confident user of IT and ability to apply this to recording systems ● Responsible, trustworthy and reliable ● Commitment to working as part of a supportive team ● High level of personal and professional commitment Desirable: ● Experience of paid or voluntary work with children or adults in a health, care or educational setting ● An emerging understanding and interest in neurodevelopmental presentations and diagnoses or experience of working with individuals with autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities or other complex needs ● A minimum of a degree in Psychology (Class 2:1 or higher) that provides eligibility for graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological Society. ● With either a Bachelor’s degree (Class 2.1 or higher) or a Bachelor’s degree (any class) together with a higher degree ● Evidence of successful working within multidisciplinary teams What we offer: In return for the hard work and dedication of our teams, we offer the following benefits: ● 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising after the length of service) ● Enhanced Occupational Sick Pay (OSP) ● Enhanced pension ● Cycle to work & enhanced car schemes ● Simplyhealth Programme including Employee Assistance Programme, GP, and priority physiotherapy access ● Fully funded flu vaccines ● Employee discount scheme ● Technology salary sacrifice scheme for home appliances, tablets, mobiles, TVs, fitness trackers, and more ● A supportive culture that values work-life balance including agile working and the option to apply for flexible working from day one. ● Ongoing CPD (internal & external) - we work with experts to bring high-quality CPD to our teams, to help further their skills and knowledge, and improve the support we provide Interviews will be offered on an ongoing basis - please do not delay applying Job Type: Full-time Pay: £24,500.00-£26,250.00 per year Benefits: Cycle to work scheme Free flu jabs Free parking Health & wellbeing programme Life insurance Sick pay Work from home Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: Hybrid remote in Leeds LS18 4RJ
