We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Curriculum Lead for Adult Skills to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of adult learners. This role involves managing a dedicated team to ensure the curriculum is robust, engaging, and aligned with relevant standards and educational best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Curriculum Development: Design, implement, and continuously improve the curriculum for Adult Skills provision, ensuring alignment with local, regional, and national priorities.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of delivery and support staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
* Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and teaching, learning, and assessment processes.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the curriculum meets the needs of adult learners.
* Resource Management: Manage the budget and resources allocated to the curriculum area, ensuring efficient use to maximise outcomes for learners.
* Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant funding rules, policies, and procedures, and prepare accurate reports as required.
* Student Support: Develop and implement strategies to support student retention, progression, and achievement.
Essential Criteria:
* Degree in a relevant subject.
* Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
* Level 5 or equivalent teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
* Proven track record of building productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Experience in developing curriculum plans and managing a team.
* Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
* Proficient in using Microsoft computer packages and software applications.
* Experience of management within adult education, including knowledge on funding.
* Understanding of quality assurance processes.
