Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Leyton, Waltham Forest, seeking a talented and committed Primary Teacher to join their team from February 2026 until July 2026. The successful candidate will teach Year 5 and provide PPA cover across the school.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Primary teacher who enjoys variety within their role. The successful candidate will teach Year 5 for 0.5 of the role while also covering PPA across the school. Planning responsibilities are included for the Year 5 class teaching, making this position ideal for a teacher who thrives on creativity, organisation, and delivering engaging lessons that inspire pupils.

The role will involve:
* Delivering high-quality lessons in Year 5
* Covering PPA across a range of year groups
* Full planning, preparation, and assessment responsibilities
* Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
* Supporting pupils' academic and personal development
The school is looking for a teacher who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has good experienced class teaching KS2 - ideally Year 5
* Demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge
* Brings enthusiasm, adaptability, and excellent classroom practice
* Has a positive and proactive approach
* Builds strong relationships with pupils and staff
