Role Overview
We are seeking a forward‑thinking, proactive Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to work in a person‑centred environment for individuals with learning disabilities and their families. You will be a key member of the team, responsible for a designated caseload and for delivering high quality PBS strategies and formulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver the PBS workstream, developing and implementing strategies that meet the assessed needs of service users.
* Conduct robust behaviour assessments and formulate evidence‑based interventions and risk mitigation plans.
* Represent and advocate for the needs and rights of people with learning disabilities, addressing inequalities and improving access to statutory and third‑sector services.
* Maintain effective, multidisciplinary communication across health and community organisations.
* Collaborate with generic health services, carers and service users to support the implementation of PBS strategies.
* Review outcomes and make independent clinical judgments, ensuring person‑centred care.
Qualifications & Experience
Ideal candidates will have:
* Significant experience as a PBS Practitioner working primarily with learning disabilities.
* Excellent knowledge of risk assessment, formulation and strategy development.
* Strong communication skills across disciplines and organisations.
* Experience working with families and care providers to deliver integrated support.
