The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Primary Teacher to join our exceptional teaching team. The role is expected to start from the 1st January 2025 and is a fixed term position until 31st August 2026. This person will inspire and educate our pupils, fostering a love for learning and supporting their academic and personal growth. We are seeking someone who will contribute to the overall success and development of our pupils, working collaboratively with colleagues and embracing United Learning’s values of ambition, determination, respect, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
* Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that spark curiosity and a love for learning in all subjects.
* Adapt teaching methods to support the diverse needs of all learners, ensuring an inclusive and equitable classroom environment.
* Foster a love of learning and encourage curiosity through creative and interactive teaching strategies.
* Inspire a life-long passion for learning by promoting an enthusiasm for various subjects.
Assessment and Reporting
* Use a range of assessments to effectively track and support pupil progress.
* Keep accurate records of student achievements and provide positive, constructive feedback to guide improvement.
* Use assessment data to plan lessons that support every pupil in reaching their full potential.
Curriculum Development
* Contribute to the development of an exciting, engaging, and well-rounded curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
* Ensure the curriculum is aligned with national standards and reflects United Learning’s values of ambition, respect, and excellence.
* Incorporate real-world connections and enrichment activities to make learning meaningful.
Collaboration and Professional Development
* Work closely with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and teaching strategies.
* Take part in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
* Build strong partnerships with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and overall progress.
Extra-Curricular Activities
* Lead or contribute to extra-curricular activities that enhance learning, such as clubs, trips, and school events.
General
* Develop excellent working relationships with colleagues internally, centrally and externally.
* Be an effective and flexible member of the team.
* Ensure any documentation produced is to a high standard and is in line with the in-house style.
* Participate in training and other learning activities as required.
* Participate in performance management process.
* Provide appropriate guidance and supervision and assist in the training and development of staff as appropriate.
* To represent the school at events as appropriate.
* To support and promote the school and United Learning’s ethos and values, playing a part in strengthening relationships between academies within the cluster and between the academy and central office.
* To be aware of, and comply with, United Learning’s policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
* To actively participate in continuous professional development and act as a positive role model across the Academy and the trust.
* Any other duties as reasonably required to support the needs of the school.

* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and has a track record of effective teaching.
* Degree educated.
* Brings creativity, energy, and a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes.
* Has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to inspire pupils and collaborate with colleagues.
