About The Role
Location: Bowd, Sidmouth EX10 0ND
1. Salary: £25,692.74 per annum / £12.31, rising to £12.56 after plant training
2. Working pattern- Wednesday to Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday as rest days
3. Start & Finish Times: WEEKDAYS Summer (April - Sept) 08:45am - 17:15pm / Winter (Oct-March) 08:45am - 16:45pm // WEEKENDS Summer (April - Sept) 09:45am - 18:00pm / Winter (Oct-March) 09:45am - 16:45pm
4. Overtime is available to cover for holidays etc
5. Monthly site bonus
6. Driving license and own vehicle is essential for this role
7. You will be required on occasion to go to neighbouring HWRCS, such as Exmouth and Honiton etc
What will I be doing?
You will advise and assist the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials deposited in the sites.
This will involve:
8. Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
9. Providing excellent levels of customer service
10. Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
11. Maintain a tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
12. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.
What are the requirements?
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.
The role requires:
13. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
14. A person extremely conscious of health and safety with the desire to develop and embrace change, whilst driven towards continuous improvement.
15. Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage but not a necessity
