Description Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world. Wood is currently sourcing for a Shutdown Planner on temporary basis, initial duration is for circa 8 months. The position will be supporting shutdown preparation for two client FPSO’s offshore Angola. Role can be based remotely, or in Angola (Luanda), but should be able to visit client Luanda office as required, with possible requirements to attend Wood regional offices. Please note this is an Expression of Interest position at present but we anticipate the position will proceed with a view to starting asap. The shutdown planner is responsible for maintaining the detailed shutdown plans for all shutdown activities. This includes the WBS, layouts, scheduled dates, durations, logic links and filters. The shutdown planner will manage the shutdown meetings ensuring correct attendees are invited, and the reporting narrative is issued with each progressed plan issue. Must be experienced in Primavera and shutdown activity sequencing, including ramp-down and ramp-up of shutdown activities. Candidate must have solid understanding of maintenance, projects, integrity, and other requirements typically related to shutdown events. Role will coordinate with the work preparer/planners/schedulers during the planning phase and work with field Coordinators, Contractors, Operations, Project and Discipline Engineering Groups. Scope of planning role includes all aspects of shutdown planning, incl. preparation planning and scheduling, shutdown, decontamination, maintenance, project execution, commissioning, and restart; and lookbacks for learnings and future planning. To act at all times in accordance with policies on Health, Safety and Environmental and proactively manage all shutdown activities accordingly. Responsibilities Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities; Shutdown Planning and Execution: Planning and preparation of shutdown activities for multiple client assets Management of the shutdown activities input into Primavera. This includes all activity details such as scheduled dates, durations, logic links, resources, WBS and code structure Production of resource histograms and ‘S’ curves for shutdown plans Production of planning statistics and narrative after each progress measure for management reporting Inputs to planning processes and procedures Attend shutdown planning meetings and update plans prior to plan approval and report issue Familiar with CMMS such as Maximo and SAP Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6 Quantify impact of maintenance activities in downtime, lost production, increased venting/flaring, and operational inefficiencies and communicate to Production Operations leadership Responsible for preparing an overall resource schedule for the shutdown duration; monitoring key materials delivery dates, availability of critical resources, and operational requirements. Key input into coordination, sequencing and scheduling of the detailed scope and execution plan for all scope in the area: maintenance, plant changes, capital projects Assists Shutdown Event Manager and Shutdown Coordinator in the development of the shutdown organization plan. Coordinates optimization activities including Reviews, Schedule Optimizations, resource levelling etc. Works closely with operations to ensure proper integration of shutdown activities. Qualifications What makes you remarkable? Education & Experience: Extensive experience in shutdown planning, sequencing and scheduling, with experience of asset shutdown operations and interfaces. The Shutdown Planner shall have good understanding of various technical disciplines including maintenance, projects, integrity, and other related shutdown requirements. Qualifications: Excellent knowledge of offshore shutdown planning and asset operations. A minimum of ten years of planning and scheduling experience in the oil and gas sector with considerable experience of shutdown events Good knowledge of Primavera, with proven ability to create and amend graphical and tabular reports to suit specific requirements. Knowledge of the techniques required to manage project resources, allocation, levelling, etc. Ability to work within a multi-cultural environment. A high degree of proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential to ensure clear concise communication with others in the team. Knowledge, skills and experience: Essential skills and experience required to perform the role effectively. This should include experience of offshore shutdown event planning and sequencing, asset operations and maintenance knowledge as well as experience of offshore environments Personal attributes: Ability to own and manage workscopes and activities, work well under pressure, challenge upwards and downwards.
