Position: Cleaner posts available at Leek High School & Westwood College Start Date: To be discussed Contract Type: Permanent Hours: To be discussed at interview: between 11.25 and 12.50 hours per week, plus 20 days Clean Down (pro rata). Term time working including four Inset days plus 20 days clean down during school closure periods (49.21 pay weeks). Term time hours: Monday to Friday between 3pm & 6pm and as per agreed hours. Based on a 37 hour contract. Pay: Grade 1, SCP 2 - £12.26 per hour (full time salary £23,656) Allowance: n/a Location: Posts are available at Leek High School or Westwood College; however, you may on occasions be required to cover duties at other schools across the Trust Line Manager: Cleaning Supervisor at the relevant school We are recruiting for energetic, motivated Cleaners, the ideal candidate will: have experience within the role, though this isn’t essential as training will be provided be able to follow instructions be flexible be motivated and self-driven and have an eye for detail have high expectations of themselves and their team be a team player have excellent communication skills The hours you are required to work will be discussed during the interview but will fall between the hours of 3-6pm, Monday to Friday term time, plus an additional 20 days clean down (pro rata) during school closure periods. You will report to the Cleaning Supervisor and will ensure that the cleaning standards required within school are upheld. The Cleaning Team handle all cleaning requirements within school. Duties will include but are not limited to: sweeping, hoovering, mopping, general cleaning and sanitising in all areas within school, emptying bins, sanitising touch points such as door handles, push plates, hand rails, etc., window cleaning at safe levels, refilling soap, paper towels and toilet rolls and tackling spillages, mess, etc. around the school site as required. You will be provided with the required training and PPE and are expected to comply with COSHH and H&S practices at all times.
