Adult Musculoskeletal (MSK) Assessment Service – Band 8A Advanced Practice Physiotherapist
Position within the North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust – providing high quality musculoskeletal physiotherapy services to the diverse population of Enfield.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with a wide range of physical and emotional needs.
* Order and interpret relevant diagnostic tests where appropriate.
* Triage referrals from general practitioners, including those with complex medical issues.
* Present patient cases succinctly to consultant colleagues at multidisciplinary meetings.
* Liaise with the Enfield Pain Service and the MSK Physiotherapy Service to coordinate care.
* Administer corticosteroid injections for common MSK presentations as part of the injection therapy team.
* Provide teaching, supervision and support to the large physiotherapy team.
* Develop and promote a positive, dynamic professional culture and foster productive relationships with key stakeholders such as local GPs.
* Participate in the senior management of the physiotherapy service, contributing to its development, service modernisation and role redesign.
* Offer expert advice to other services and professionals, including GPs and hospital medical staff.

Applicants should demonstrate advanced skills in assessment, investigations, onward referrals and musculoskeletal injection.
