Role Information The Welfare Officer will provide direct support to students facing emotional, behavioural, or wellbeing challenges. Responsibilities include meeting with students individually, supporting daily check-ins, monitoring safeguarding concerns, liaising with parents, referring students to internal and external support services, documenting concerns on CPOMS (or equivalent), and contributing to the development of pastoral strategies. The Welfare Officer plays a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning by offering practical support, emotional guidance, and consistent monitoring. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, patient, resilient, confident in dealing with sensitive issues, and highly organised. The ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain strict confidentiality is essential.
